Playing catch up !!!!!!

Ok so I am very much back to earth now and playing catch up. Whilst I was away on holiday I had projects on Youtube that never quite made my blog so today I am re visiting them and giving out sizes as I would usually. Goodness I need a holiday to get over coming back from holiday !!

So the first card is using the stunning Swan lake stamp set. This is a stunning ten piece set with a good range of use with pretty, yet non specific sentiments making for great versatility. I did originally want the project to be a postcard and so stamped onto a watercolour grade paper postcard. I used my Stampin' Up! markers to colour and as they are water based created a watery effect using a aqua brush. The watercolour postcards i acquired local measure 6 x 4" and so to back onto a card simply increase the measurements by 1/4" .... Obviously I inked the edges .. it was ESSENTIAL ..I do love inking and the Stampin' Up! sponges help give a great look.

The second card I neglected on my blog ...poor card... was this super easy thank you card . The idea here being to keep colours minimal to show anyone new to Stampin' Up! you don't need a room bursting with products to create a great card. The colour here is wisteria wonder. As all items are the same colour shade, the card, paper and ink , it isn't hard to make a great card. I used DSP from the subtle range a great 12 x 12 paper pad full to bursting of double sided sheets in all the subtle colours so your never without. I also used co-ordinating card stock available in a4 size packs. The stamp set is the Window shopping set. Now this is originally to be teamed up with the window box thinlits die but here I used it alone. Its a stunning stamp set. I used the share panel stamps alternately and then simply stamped out the large sentiment which gives a stunning central feature....

I feel at ease now I have given these two cards blog time they really did deserve to be shared. I hope they inspire you to try them. You can find video tutorials on both these cards on my Youtube channel the link in in the left sidebar.

Scrimpy's back .... reality and back to work

Hello my lovely ladies and gents..did you miss me. I have been a.w.a.l for just over two weeks away on holiday with my family in the lovely Caribbean. We had a wonderful time so thought for a change instead of cards I would share some photos of my holiday ... . We went to Barbados, Aruba, Bon aire and lots of other destinations . We ate far too much, were extremely lazy and just had some quality family time. My husband owns an engineering firm and whilst I stay home I work practically full time hours too so this was a great rest for us both.

back to work today and lots of planning ahead to do. I was excited to receive my silver elite certificate whilst I was away. I also received what I call Pootle mail. This is rewards from my direct up line who rewards for top recruiting and sales. I did fairly well February was a good month for me with lots of ladies joining my team and so I was 3rd top recruiter...as Sam Hammond herself was number one I feel this was a big achievement. I was seventh top for sales this month which is great when so many are in the larger team. I think rewards are great we all like to know we are on track and doing well and I reward my own team too for reaching milestones and send them small gifts inspired very much by how my spline rewards me.

I have lots in the pipeline this month I have two workshops booked in at Samaflora an arts and crafts retail outlet in Dewsbury West Yorkshire which boasts a lovely light and airy training room. These will be recurring on a fortnightly basis and I'm super excited to get started I will be widely publicising the events so if you wish to attend just let me know. I also have plans for doing some online classes and also to go with this blog post is my new monthly Stampin' Up! vlog on Youtube.

The idea of the vlog is to be a viewable monthly newsletter for customers or prospective customers. I love to share and feel that involving everyone can only make me even more accessible. A face to face video is always nice touch even just for those who like to watch my videos and don't necessarily purchase goods. Plus I do like to ramble and chat ...... so first Monday of every month will be vlog day. I hope you enjoy it and would love any comments or feedback on what you would like to see. Also don't forget you can share your work with me on either of my groups on Facebook special created for crafters to share their work.
