Happy ... erm... ? Saturday ..yes its Saturday ha ha ha ha

Wow my head is so chilled form my holiday I lose track of the days ... Well we had an amazing Cruise so much so my husband booked a further two for next year so that will keep us both very motivated its nice to have something to look forward to.

The ships are amazing although we found this one rather small but it had to be to enable access to Venice the pinnacle of our trip. I shall attach some rather pathetic looking attempts at photography at the bottom if you wish to look. David Bailey will be quaking in his shoes I'm very sure.

Im terrible at keeping photos I often just use my phone which invariably always seems to have low battery at a very important moment. But Im a very hard person to impress I remember visiting the Louvre in Paris rather disinterested and homed in on the Mona Lisa to state "is that it " must have been my normal loud voice as several hundred pairs of eyes were soon focused on me.

Our trip went without too much drama I was prepared this year yay success, so no lost or forgotten paperwork, no missed flights everything went pretty smooth. My husband paid for drink packages which meant we could basically have what and whenever so we were probably a little sizzled most of the time which always helps. My hubby isn't really a drinker I do occasionally but not every week. He soon worked out we needed to have five a day to get our moneys worth from the package so it would have been rude of me to protest.

The only real "disaster" was in Santorini a beautiful place set high up on cliffs which you access via the sea and then cable car or you can walk up. As its extremely steep we took the cable car. Then hubby had the fab idea that if we walked DOWN instead of getting the cable car it would be amazing for the views and photo's, nothing to do with saving $20 I'm sure ! ... So without thinking I agreed how hard could it be down hill right ? WRONG !!! the pathway/ STEPS !! snaked round and round and ROUND obviously because of the steepness, if that is even a word ?,  but this meant it was a long way .... in the mid day sun.!! Then I found they gave donkey rides up and down this steep mountain side so then I was crying for the poor donkeys and muttering under my breath about animal cruelty the whole way. Then I got the leg tremmors you get when your muscles are worked too hard. By the time we finally got to the bottom of the MASSIVE MOUNTAIN what seemed like DAYS later,  I was shaking like the proverbial dog , burnt to a crisp, red faced , delirious and planning a donkey sanctuary. Needless to say If you ever go to Santorini get the cable car both ways ! Also if you do go could you email me some photos as I only actually took two .... epic fail.

So today will be filled with washing and shopping holidays soon end with the stark reality of hum drum life rather like a wagging finger of punishment for having had such a fab time. Hubby has returned to work already and I plan to return on Monday but only part time. There is still one week of school holidays left and so I shall enjoy my last few days with my princess. Sometimes time away not only rests the body but you get time to prioritise what is important in your life and what you need I realised all I need is my family ...and maybe Bacardi oak heart and diet coke ha ha ha ha. I didn't  really miss my work or social media one bit and didn't have access to either the whole time I was away.  It easy to loose yourself in your work so my new mantra is work to live... don't live to work ......

now for the dodgy photos ... have a fab weekend everyone x A

The view from the top of Santorini down into the bay to the right you can just see the ship, legend says this area is possibly where Atlantis is deep under the seas somewhere about .
Top deck of the ship for swimming and sunbathing
Beautiful artwork framed with gold leaf in the Doges palace this is also maybe spelt wrong. I really should goggle how to spell but mehhh

The bridge of Sighs ( probably spelt wrong ha ha ha )
